Drinking Kava

The word “kava” comes from Pacific Island languages describing its naturally strong and earthy flavour. Kava has a distinctive peppery taste that may take some getting used to for first-time drinkers.

For the best experience, kava is traditionally enjoyed on an empty stomach. It should not be mixed with alcohol.

When drinking kava, you may notice a mild tingling or numbing sensation around the mouth and lips — this is completely normal. Many people enjoy kava for its calming and relaxing effects. We recommend waiting around 15 minutes between servings to allow the effects to gradually develop.

As with any relaxing beverage, avoid driving or operating machinery after consuming kava. Kava may also interact with certain medications, so please seek medical advice if you are taking prescription medication.

Enjoy responsibly and in moderation.
